So how are brands playing in a world where TV spots don't fit? They don't so now we are discussing how to hook up the players. Film Preditors II, hosted by Digitas Global Chief Creative Officer Mark Beeching during the 2009 Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival, was a dating game showcasing some of the hottest of these digital talents looking to team up with brands. But what are brands looking for in a partner? How can filmmakers make themselves sexy? Does brand integration deliver? And does brand-funded production satisfy the filmmakers? creative juices? Will we find the perfect match? In short, how do brands and content creators get into bed together to everyone's satisfaction - not least the audience's? These are some of the burning questions that were addressed during this seminar. Talent included Justine Bateman (Family Ties, Desperate Housewives, and founder of FM78.tv), Fred (the 16 year old YouTube superstar), Deepak Nayar (Buena Vista Social Club, Bend it Like Beckham, Bride & Prejudice - the Bollywood Musical, and founder of Filmaka), Zadi Diaz (new media producer and co-founder of Smashface Productions, co-creator and host of EPIC FU) and Jeff Larson (Brand Director - Subway - SFAFT).
