The environment is a key area on which the Groupe is concentrating its efforts, Even though the nature of our business does not place us among the primary players most involved in producing greenhouse gases or consuming basic materials. The progress made since 2009, together with an accurate reporting, have made it possible for us to better track, assess and analyze our environmental impact.
Our approach: Consume less, consumer better.
Essentially, our approach consists in changing our behaviors, improving our practices and reducing the negative consequences of some of our activities on the environment. Our environmental policy is very pragmatic, aimed at establishing the daily practice of ecological gestures in all our agencies. It is based on four main axes:
1. Reducing our raw materials consumption...
The consumption of raw materials in communication businesses is limited mainly to paper, a major issue.
2. Limiting our energy consumption.
Saving energy is primarily a matter of instituting a series of simple "eco-friendly practices" to be followed by all our staff members. It is up to the Groupe to take ad hoc steps to encourage saving energy. Our IT teams are particularly involved and are continually working to improve our systems.
3. Reduce travel.
Our staff members' airplane trips have a substantial environmental impact. To limit traveling by plane, the Groupe has deployed video conferencing rooms, 25 of which have been set up over the past five years.
4. Developing and generalizing recycling.
Our objective is to encourage all our networks and agencies to use specialized waste collection organizations for recycling paper, IT hardware and telephone equipment.
